Annie is the Staff Attorney at YSRP, where she supervises the Youth Advocacy Project and Know Your Rights program and works with young people facing charges in the adult legal system. Annie has been advocating for people in the criminal legal system since 2018 and is passionate about empowering client-partners both in and out of the courtroom.

Before joining YSRP, Annie worked as a trial attorney with the Defender Association of Philadelphia and the Louisville Metro Public Defender’s Office focusing on direct representation of people facing criminal prosecution. Her background includes trial advocacy, mitigation, and supervision, and is rooted in a commitment to racial justice and challenging the idea that prisons make us safer.

Annie holds a Juris Doctor from the Villanova University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, watching horror movies, and spending time with her precocious and beloved terrier, Frida. She believes strongly that each of us is more than the worst thing we’ve ever done.
