Beth Herz is an organizational development consultant and facilitator providing strategic advising to grantmaking foundations, community organizations, and networks that pursue racial and social justice. Beth has experience both in philanthropy and in nonprofit board and leadership roles. For the past decade, she has led and advised on strategy, governance, and team development, including as Program Officer for Strategy and Planning at the Surdna Foundation and as Director of Strategy at Hester Street, an urban and environmental planning organization. Beth has conducted research and guided community-driven strategy on environmental and food justice, sustainable community development, and impact investing, among other issue areas. With a range of institutions, Beth has facilitated conversations on race and equity, conducted staff training, and led efforts to put racial justice goals into practice.
