Troy Spence is a finance and risk professional with over 17 years of experience spanning internal audit, risk management, compliance, and management consulting. In his current role as Director of Audit at Berwind Corporation, Troy serves on the corporate finance team responsible for oversight and support across a portfolio of eight global operating companies. Reporting to the Corporate Controller and Board of Directors, he leads the development and execution of the company's annual audit plan — encompassing business process audits, IT security reviews, and advisory projects that equip senior leadership with actionable insight on internal controls and risk mitigation.

Prior to joining Berwind, Troy served as Managing Director of Risk and Compliance at Reinvestment Fund, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit CDFI, where he designed and implemented tailored risk and compliance programs spanning governance, policies and procedures, metrics, monitoring, and escalation. He began his career in management consulting, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.
